Women's Board

The Women's Board of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital establish fundraising efforts for patients.

We hold a variety of events for visitors, patients and friends of Jefferson throughout the year.

Funds raised by our cookbook, "At the Table: A Luscious Collection of Philadelphia’s Favorite Recipes," support patient care.

The Women's Board welcomes your involvement in our group.

Resilient, Hard Working, Compassionate & Dedicated to Jefferson
A group known as the Board of Lady Managers was active within the Jefferson Medical College from 1892-1897. By 1907, the group had become the Women’s Auxiliary and, in 1925, the name was officially changed to the Women’s Board.
Since its inception, the mission of the TJUH Women’s Board has been to provide for the comfort and care of hospitalized patients, their families and the greater Jefferson community. In keeping with Jefferson’s focus on global health, the Women’s Board also funds global health projects led by Jefferson staff, faculty and researchers.
Over the last century, the Women’s Board has continued to be actively involved at the hospital. We have raised millions of dollars to fund diverse projects, including:
- Pastoral Care Program
- Jefferson Breast Care Center
- Office of Patient & Family Experience
- iPads for the Pediatric Department
- Refugee Health programs at Jefferson
- Maternity Education Services
- And many more!
