Jefferson University Hospitals

The Jefferson Vascular Center team uses a variety of procedures to diagnose deep vein thrombosis (DVT), including a venogram. This procedure uses a combination of contrast dye and X-rays to visualize the veins in the legs.

If you are diagnosed with DVT, our experienced vascular disease specialists can provide you with a range of treatments, including medication therapy and the insertion of a filter into the vena cava (a large vein in the abdomen) to prevent clots from breaking free and causing a potentially life-threatening complication in your lungs.
