Sinus Augmentation

If you've lost bone in that area due to reasons such as periodontal disease, tooth loss or injury, you may be a good candidate for sinus augmentation and dental implants.

What Does Sinus Augmentation Involve?

A sinus augmentation (also known as a sinus lift or sinus graft) is a procedure that involves adding bone (called grafting) to the upper jaw where the premolar or molar teeth are in order to create enough space for one or more dental implants.

Oral and maxillofacial surgeons at Jefferson are highly trained to perform this type of procedure. Our oral surgeons will explain the procedure and offer after-care tips to ensure the quality of the bone where the dental implant will be placed.
