Intravenous Pyelogram (IVP)

In order to assess the size, shape and structure of the kidneys, ureters and bladder, Jefferson physicians use a variety of procedures including intravenous pyelogram (IVP). IVP can also be used to evaluate kidney function, the presence of kidney disease, ureteral or bladder stones, enlarged prostate, trauma or injury and tumor.

IVP is performed by experienced radiologists at Jefferson who work in conjunction with our urologists to ensure you are accurately diagnosed and an appropriate treatment plan is established.
