Endoscopic Gastric Bypass Revision

Endoscopic Gastric Bypass Revision is for patients who have regained weight following previous surgical gastric bypass. Endoscopic suturing is used to reduce the size of the gastric pouch and the size of the outlet between the gastric pouch and intestine, helping patients to again lose weight

Why Would It Work?

Weight gain after Roux-En-Y gastric bypass surgery may be partially related to a stretching of the gastric pouch and widening of the connection between the gastric pouch and intestine. These changes, which happen over time, allow the patient to eat more without feeling full.

The minimally invasive endoscopic procedure performed through the mouth increases fullness, curbs food intake, and jump starts the weight loss process. Research has shown significant weight loss after 12 months.
