Jefferson President and CEO Stephen Klasko Makes Modern Healthcare’s 2020 List of Influential Leaders
PHILADELPHIA, PA – For the fourth year in a row, Stephen K. Klasko, MD, MBA, has been named one of the most influential clinical executives by Modern Healthcare.
This list honors those in the healthcare industry who are deemed by their peers to demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities in the field, including executive responsibility, innovation, community service and various achievements.
Nominees must meet a certain criteria, including having helped the organization achieve or exceed financial, operational and clinical goals.
While the list is typically numerically ranked (last year, Dr. Klasko was no. 6), the editors of Modern Healthcare noted that due to the "complex impact" COVID-19 had on the industry, the list would be alphabetical in 2020.
Dr. Klasko joins the likes of Surgeon General Dr. Jerome M. Adams, as well as Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx of the COVID-19 task force. Dr. Klasko is also ranked among fellow Philadelphia healthcare leaders, including Madeline Bell, the President and CEO of Philadelphia Children's Hospital.
