Jefferson Appoints Richard Kwei Senior Vice President of Payer Strategy and Network Performance
Jefferson Health System announced the appointment of Richard Kwei as Senior Vice President of Payer Strategy and Network Performance. In this newly-created position, Mr. Kwei will define Jefferson’s accountable care strategic direction and develop a roadmap in pursuit of health care's triple aim: enhancing quality and patient satisfaction, improving the health of populations and reducing per capita costs.
"We are thrilled to have Mr. Kwei join Jefferson,” said Anne Docimo, M.D., MBA, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Jefferson. His extensive experience will be a key asset to our team as Jefferson transforms its current model of care and manages health across populations.
Mr. Kwei has over 30 years of experience in integrated provider-payer health systems and managed-care insurance companies. He joins Jefferson most recently from Geisinger Health Plans where he served as Chief Operating Officer. In that role, he worked closely with health services, informatics and network management departments to manage populations through coordinated care delivery. Mr. Kwei has also worked in leadership roles for BMC HealthNet Plan, Private Healthcare Systems, Blue Cross of MA, Cigna and Kaiser.
Mr. Kwei has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science and a Master of Science in Operations Research from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
