Jefferson Appoints Joseph B. Hill as Chief Diversity Officer
Jefferson announced the appointment of Joseph B. Hill as Chief Diversity Officer, a key leadership role, responsible for leading an integration of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and practices to ensure excellence in education, research and patient care.

Klasko, M.D., MBA, President and CEO of Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health System. "To that end, I am thrilled to welcome Joseph to the team. He is a creative, accomplished leader who will report directly to me and ensure that everything we do reflects the diverse cultures we serve."
Mr. Hill joins Jefferson most recently from Froedtert Health, the clinical arm of the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he developed a diversity and inclusion program that became an integral part of the health system's values, strategy and operational initiatives. Under his leadership, Froedtert's diversity and inclusion team was nationally recognized for supplier diversity and health care equality. Mr. Hill also served as the Managing Director of Diversity and Inclusion at the American Cancer Society in Atlanta.
A native of Buffalo, New York, Mr. Hill received a B.A. from Virginia Union University, M.A. from Howard University and a Certificate in Diversity Management in Health Care (CDM) from Georgetown University and the Institute for Diversity in Health Management. He is often a speaker at national forums where he shares his insights and experience on the importance of diversity and strategic partnerships in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. In addition, Mr. Hill serves as a volunteer and is a Board member for Garden and Associates, LLC, Our Next Generation, Milwaukee Urban League and is on the Advisory Board for Usher's New Look Foundation.
