Jefferson Receives CASE Award for Fundraising Excellence

Thomas Jefferson University was recently recognized with an "Overall Performance Award" from the CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) based on the analysis of the past three years' fundraising data.

The CASE awards program recognizes overall performance and overall improvement in educational fundraising programs based on data submitted to the Council for Aid to Education's (CAE) Voluntary Support of Education survey. The survey is conducted annually by CAE and co-sponsored by CASE and the National Association of Independent Schools.

Those programs that show growth in total support, solid program growth, breadth in the base of support and other indications of a mature, well-maintained program were recognized.

Jefferson was recognized along with Baylor College of Medicine for Overall Performance in the category "Private Professional or Specialized Institutions."

"This award is a testament to the diligent work of the Jefferson Foundation staff as well as our alumni, friends and faculty who support our mission," says Frederick E. Ruccius, Sr. Vice President for Development.  "Our donors are helping us to build momentum; we are poised to accomplish great things."
