JeffConnect serves patients, physicians, employers and our community with easy to access, high-quality care delivered by our talented medical staff and telehealth professionals.

Successful telemedicine programs understand that the key to their success lies in the human factor engagement and operational workflows in concert with the right technology to meet their goals and objectives.  Telemedicine programs provide patients and physicians with convenient access to each other through video visits that save time and money while providing a higher quality healthcare experience to patients interacting with your healthcare system.

JeffConnect provides consulting services on a limited basis to healthcare organizations seeking guidance in launching or optimizing their telemedicine program.  JeffConnect has been where you are and has figured out how to navigate and succeed using telehealth in a complex healthcare environment.

The Jefferson Telehealth Consulting team will:

Judd E. Hollander, MD, is Senior Vice President of Healthcare Delivery Innovation at TJU and Associate Dean for Strategic Health Initiatives at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and Professor & Vice Chair of Finance and Healthcare Enterprises in the Department of Emergency Medicine, where responsibilities include the JeffConnect Telemedicine Program and Jefferson Urgent Care. He graduated from New York University Medical School in 1986, completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Barnes Hospital in 1989, and an Emergency Medicine Residency at Jacobi Hospital in 1992. His research interests include innovative care delivery models, risk stratification of patients with potential cardiovascular disease; cocaine associated cardiovascular complications; and laceration and wound management. Dr. Hollander has published over 500 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and editorials on these and other topics. Dr. Hollander was President of the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine, chaired the SAEM Program Committee and Emergency Medicine Foundation Scientific Review Committee and was Deputy Editor for the Annals of Emergency Medicine, and co-chaired the National Quality Forum (NQF) committee to create a framework to support measure development for telehealth. Dr. Hollander was the awarded the ACEP Award for Outstanding Research in 2001, the Hal Jayne SAEM Academic Excellence Award in 2003 and the SAEM Leadership Award in 2011.

Director, Telehealth & JeffConnect

Frank D. Sites, MHA, BSN, RN is the Director of Telehealth & JeffConnect at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia.  In this role Mr. Sites is responsible for leading all internal and external growth initiatives including all clinical, technical, support and regulatory activities impacting the enterprise wide telehealth program.  Previously, Frank has served as the Operations Director a tele-ICU in a large academic health system that provided tele critical care services to several hospitals.  Frank has served in a variety of nursing leadership roles including Chief Nurse Executive of Good Shepherd Penn Partners and served as a Clinical Director of Emergency Nursing and Patient Progression at Pennsylvania Hospital, and as the Division Director of Critical Care at Reading Health System

Frank graduated from Holy Family University with a bachelor’s of science in nursing and earned his master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Saint Joseph’s University.  Frank previously held an editorial appointment for the American Association for Critical Care Nurses Journal as a reviewer in the areas of telemedicine and tele-critical care and is an expert reviewer for the AACN’s TeleICU consensus statement supporting high acuity, progressive and critical care.  Frank also volunteers his time as the Regional Lead for the Pennsylvania Action Coalition for practice innovation.

Aditi Joshi MD, MSc is Medical Director of JeffConnect, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital's on demand telemedicine program and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Her position is multi-faceted in telehealth: working in operations, quality assurance, provider training, resident and medical education and implementing new programs and use cases for telehealth. Prior to Jefferson, she worked at a telemedicine startup, learning barriers in uptake, marketing and business development. She is also co-director of the Digital Health Scholarly Inquiry Track at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, teaching medical students how digital health technologies will influence their careers. She completed her residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and has a Masters in International Health Policy from the London School of Economics.

Matthew Coccagna is the Enterprise Program Manager for Telehealth & JeffConnect at Jefferson Health. He manages a strategically aligned portfolio of digital health initiatives and operations ensuring superior experiences for Jefferson providers and patients and influencing the future of healthcare delivery.

Prior to joining Jefferson, Matthew implemented complex enterprise-wide IT projects for community based hospitals and large academic medical centers such as Penn Medicine. Most recently he joins Jefferson from Reading Health System - now Tower Health - where he provided expertise in the development of its project management office (PMO).

With over 15 years of full spectrum healthcare IT experience, Matthew excels at inspiring change and driving results. He galvanizes diversely positioned stakeholders and cultivates shared visions to develop cohesive teams that foster creativity, problem solving, and transparency.

Matthew earned his BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from Saint Joseph's University and his MBA specializing in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship from Drexel University. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

V. Persis Dhas, M.D. is completing a telemedicine fellowship at Jefferson Health this year to better understand how Telehealth and virtual care will transform the healthcare landscape. She  brings her training, and years of practice in internal medicine, emergency medicine, and urgent care settings to your unique setting and offer insights in guiding your team to the right solutions.

JeffConnect Telehealth Coordinator

John G. Amero is a Telehealth Coordinator at Jefferson Health with over 10 years’ of experience with Ambulatory Electronic Medical Record workflows.

Prior to joining Jefferson, John worked at Lancaster General Health and Penn Medicine, providing Ambulatory EMR solutions providers, practice administration, and the Healthcare Information Technology Department.  Over those years John worked with the ambulatory and physician champions and along with administration to make sure compliance issues were investigated and resolved.

John brings to Jefferson and JeffConnect over 25 years of healthcare experience.  He started his career as a personal computer and network analyst, and through the years has been a healthcare consultant, IT Manager, and Ambulatory Software EMR Architect.  John’s passion for designing, and documenting, the easiest workflows for providers, patients, and IT Departments comes from his, and his families, own personal experiences as a patients in an already complex healthcare world.

John earned his Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Arcadia University, has been certified, and recertified yearly, in Epic’s Ambulatory product suite since 2006.
