Unequal Jaw Growth

Unequal jaw growth occurs when the upper and lower jaws fail to grow properly. In turn, you may notice difficulty in speaking, eating, swallowing and breathing, as well as significant malocclusion (misalignment of the teeth). Oral and maxillofacial surgeons at Jefferson will examine your condition and may recommend oral surgery to move your jaw in a more balanced and functional position.
