Trigeminal Neuralgia

A very painful swelling of the nerve that carries feeling to the face is called trigeminal neuralgia. Pain occurs while you're brushing your teeth, chewing, drinking and/or putting on makeup. If you are experiencing this kind of pain on one side of your face or around your eye or cheek, seek expert diagnosis and treatment at Jefferson.

Jefferson's Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery gives you access to some of the premier oral and maxillofacial surgeons in the Delaware Valley. Our team may order an MRI and blood tests to accurately diagnosis your condition and, based on the results, effectively manage your trigeminal neuralgia by recommending medications, injections or surgery.
