Salmonella Infections

Salmonella infections are all too common, in the United States and abroad, due to contaminated and underprepared food. If you are planning to travel outside of the U.S., it is extremely important to talk with a travel medicine specialist as far in advance of your trip as possible.

For expert help regarding how to prevent salmonella infections, turn to the Travel Medicine Services team at Jefferson. Our services are comprehensive and convenient. Based on where you plan to journey, we can advise you of the precautions you should take and administer any needed vaccinations – all in one visit to our Center City Philadelphia office. During your visit, our team will also provide helpful hints to keep you healthy before and during your trip.

If you develop symptoms of salmonella here at home, Jefferson infectious disease specialists will ensure you are diagnosed quickly and accurately and will treat you to relieve the symptoms and ensure there are no complications from the infections.
