If you're a weekend warrior, young adult or professional athlete with a sports-related injury, the expert team of Jefferson's Sports Medicine Center can help. As one of the largest sports medicine centers in the U.S., we are dedicated to diagnosing and treating sports-related injuries, from sprains and stress fractures to runner's knee and tennis elbow, as well as more complex injuries that result from athletic activities.

In fact, we evaluate more than 35,000 athletes and perform more than 4,000 reconstructive surgeries related to athletic injuries annually.

Our physicians, trainers and therapists have extensive experience in adolescent and adult, amateur and professional sports medicine and treat public and private school athletes and numerous collegiate and professional sports teams, including the Philadelphia Eagles football team, the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team, the Philadelphia Flyers hockey team, the U.S. Women's Gymnastics Team, Division I St. Joseph's University and several Division II and III universities and colleges.

You will receive treatment in our Center's intimate environment, and our staff will provide you with individualized, expert care. In addition, we enjoy a close rapport with specialists of The Philadelphia/South Jersey Hand Centers and the Jefferson Shoulder and Elbow Center as well as our back and hip orthopedic services.

Our Center is also an internationally recognized leader in sports medicine research. Sports specialists engage in clinical and basic science research such as the study of the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) of the elbow. Our sports medicine surgeons continue to provide care to numerous professional and amateur athletes at risk of UCL injury.
