Obstetrics & Maternity Care

During COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Outbreak

We are still scheduling appointments for new and existing patients. At this time, patients may bring one person to an office visit, office procedure or ultrasound. A child may also accompany the patient if the patient can supervise the child and/or bring one other person who will be responsible for the child.

We have made several temporary adjustments to how we deliver care to reduce your risk and ensure safety. Adjustments we’ve made include:

  • Increased Health Protocols
Masks are required of all who enter our office. We do not recommend bringing a child to your visit at this time.
  • Video/Telehealth visits
These visits allow you to use a mobile device (smartphone or tablet) or desktop computer with a camera to speak with your provider through a video connection.
  • Expanded In-person appointments
We added early-morning and evening appointments for those with medical conditions that make them more susceptible to illness. Additionally, we created appropriate space between chairs in waiting areas and ensure that all patients and care team members have masks and appropriate protection.

Learn more about initiating a video visit by speaking with your physician’s office or by visiting our telehealth services page.

You will have access to our team and advanced facilities 24 hours a day. Above all else, our goal is for every patient to have a safe and healthy delivery and baby.

We are excited to help you grow your family.”

Collaborative Approach

At Jefferson Health, we recognize the value of collaborative care to meet each of our patient’s unique needs. For high-risk pregnancy care, we have a structured review mechanism to discuss each patient with our multidisciplinary team, including obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, certified registered nurse practitioners, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, pediatricians, obstetrical anesthesiologists and labor & delivery nurses. We value your safety and have implemented layers of backup, so your team of experts is always available to provide exactly the care you need.

In addition, as part of our dedication to whole-person care, we offer free therapy and counseling for postpartum depression and anxiety. We are here for you and your family every step of the way, throughout pregnancy, labor and delivery, and beyond.

To support the needs of pregnant patients (and those trying to conceive) with hypertension and/or heart disease, the OBGYN and Cardiology teams worked together to establish a Cardio-Obstetrics Clinic. During an appointment, patients may receive screenings, cardiac imaging, referrals and much more.
