Promoting continued health through team-based, research-backed care

Our Jefferson Health midwives view menarche, pregnancy, birth and menopause as normal physiologic and developmental processes. However, we are experts in knowing the difference between normal changes that occur and symptoms that require extra attention. We use collaborative, team-based care when there is a specific concern for the health of you or your baby.

Also called nursing, breastfeeding is the process of feeding breast milk to an infant. Our labor & delivery nurses and lactation specialists are all specially trained to offer breastfeeding consultation to help you achieve your personal goals for infant feeding.

Our obstetricians and advanced practice nurses are among the best in the Philadelphia region to manage your pregnancy and welcome your baby into the world. Right from the start of your pregnancy, through delivery and beyond, our highly skilled team will give you and your baby all of the personal attention and care you need.

STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection)
We offer rapid testing for sexually transmitted infections. We recommend annual testing and additional testing if you believe you had a possible exposure, experience symptoms or have a new sexual partner.

There are many forms of vaginitis, a vaginal infection that may cause itchiness, pain and discharge. We are experts in diagnosing and treating all types of vaginitis.
