What insurance plans do you accept?

We accept most insurance plans, Medicare and Medicaid, except Health Partners plans. For a more comprehensive list, please visit the Jefferson Health Accepted Insurance Plans page. If you want to confirm if a particular provider accepts your insurance, please contact us at 1-800-JEFF-NOW (1-800-533-3669) or contact your insurance company.

How can I make an appointment?

You can make an appointment by calling 1-800-JEFF-NOW (1-800-533-3669) or the OBGYN main office at 215-955-5000. You can make an appointment online using the JEFF NOW appointment request form. If you are an existing patient, you can make an appointment online using MyJeffersonHealth.

Can I make a telehealth (video visit) appointment?

Yes, we offer video visits through JeffConnect, our secure telehealth solution compatible with cell phones, tablets and computers. Once you register for JeffConnect, you can log in at any time to schedule an appointment with your provider.

What can I expect for my first prenatal OB appointment?

The first appointment, or “New OB Intake,” is a telehealth appointment with one of our nurse practitioners or midwives. Next, you will be scheduled for a New OB appointment in the office.

What are the office hours?

Our offices are open Monday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. After hours, you can call the OBGYN main office at 215-955-5000 and ask to speak with the after-hours service.

How can I get in touch with my provider?

To get in touch with your provider, please call the OBGYN main office at 215-955-5000 or send a secure, direct message via MyJeffersonHealth.

How can I get in touch with my provider when the office is closed?

If the office is closed, please call the OBGYN main office at 215-955-5000 and ask to speak with the after-hours service.

Where can I park when visiting the Center City location?

We offer discount parking at 833 Chestnut Street for our Center City location. Visit Our Locations page to review directions and parking options for each of our OBGYN locations.

What Septa buses pass the Center City office location?

Buses 9, 23, 21 and 43 pass the Center City office location. Please visit Our Locations page to review public transit options for each of our OBGYN locations.

What is the check-in process?

We have implemented new Direct Rooming procedures to allow patients to go directly to the designated exam room, eliminating idle time spent in a crowded waiting room. Upon arrival at our main OBGYN office at 833 Chestnut Street, you will be greeted and screened for COVID-19. The Screening Nurse will then telecom the Medical Assistant to escort you directly to your exam room where the Registrar will complete the registration process and update your electronic medical record. With this seamless check-in and registration process, you are now ready for your visit with your provider.

How do I get to the Jefferson Vulvovaginal Health Center (VVHC) office location?

To visit the Jefferson VVHC office location, enter from the 9th Street entrance and take the elevator to Concourse “C.” When exiting the elevator, turn left and then make the first right. The Jefferson VVHC office will be on your left.

If I am an existing Jefferson Health OBGYN patient, am I considered an existing Jefferson Vulvovaginal Health Center patient as well?

No, if you are referred to the Jefferson Vulvovaginal Health Center (VVHC) by your Jefferson Health gynecologist, you are considered a new patient within Jefferson VVHC.
