The Vickie and Jack Farber Institute for Neuroscience is at the forefront of neuroscience discovery and disease treatment. We have brought together our globally recognized researchers and physicians from neurosurgery, neurology, psychiatry and neuroscience. Our integration with Abington Health further enriches the research and services we offer as we work toward a shared goal of accelerating our translational research into new treatments and procedures. The team is currently working on advancements in treating brain and spine disorders like Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, ALS, stroke, MS and brain tumors.

Above all, we are deeply grateful to Vickie and Jack Farber and the Farber Family Foundation, who have been steadfast partners, engaged leaders and visionary investors. Not only do they share our commitment, but they generously support our efforts, to find effective treatments, preventive therapies—maybe even cures—for life-altering neurological diseases.

Our Team

The institute brings together specialists from all areas of neuroscience to focus on the patient. Physicians and other clinicians collaborate to identify the needs of a patient and then work together to offer the best treatment plans.

Close collaboration with researchers on campus means easy access to clinical trials and the latest input about new treatment options. Our physicians and researchers are also our faculty, so Sidney Kimmel Medical College students and Jefferson Health residents are a part of the institute as well.

By coming together within the institute, our most talented minds can collaborate as never before.

Robert H. Rosenwasser, MD, FACS, FAHA, the President of the Vickie and Jack Farber Institute for Neuroscience, is joined by a team of physicians and clinicians who combine knowledge and resources in order to better understand and treat neurodegenerative disorders.
