Look Good, Feel Better
This program is designed to teach women beauty tips during chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
Volunteer beauty professionals lead small groups, usually about six to 10 women, through a practical, hands-on experience. Expect to learn about makeup, skin care, nail care and ways to deal with hair loss with wigs, turbans and scarves. Each woman will receive a free makeup kit to use during and after the workshop.
Look Good, Feel Better was founded and developed in 1989. All cosmetology volunteers who are part of the program attend a 4-hour certification class. All cosmetics used have been donated.
Please call the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345 to register.
