Finding Meaning Group for Patients with Cancer

People attending a support group

This six-week series support group aims to decrease feelings of sadness or hopelessness by teaching ways to focus on the importance of creating, experiencing, and keeping a sense of meaning in life.

You will look for meaning in your past, present, future, and everyday life by answering questions together, completing homework assignments, and having discussions with clinical social workers.

The goal of the series is to help people cope by finding and creating a sense of meaning and purpose in life and find new ways to face and overcome the challenges cause by illness.

This group is for people in active cancer treatment or within 6 months of completing treatment.
