Learning to Manage & Live with Diabetes

The Center for Urban Health works collaboratively with the Jefferson Diabetes Center to provide individuals and families living with diabetes and prediabetes education tools and resources to better self-manage diabetes, reduce complications and improve quality of life.

This complete diabetes education series is offered in three weekly classes. Learn the facts about living with diabetes and how to control your blood sugar. Topics include:

  • Monitoring blood sugar
  • Medications
  • How to avoid diabetes complications
  • Basic nutrition and meal planning tips
