Basic Life Support (BLS) Initial & Renewal Course
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course is for healthcare providers who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion a CPR course. This course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation.
Preparing for class:
It is recommended that you review the CPR course book prior to class. To schedule an appointment to pick up your book, please call 215-361-4411. If you do not receive your book before class, you will be provided one at the time of the class.
Pregnant women must notify their obstetrician about the CPR class and send or bring written permission from the doctor with course payment.
On the day of class:
- Allow 5 to 10 minutes to sign-in and receive materials. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you must reschedule for another class.
- Do not wear lipstick, chew gum or eat food in class. Wash your hands before attending class.
- Please bring a lunch if the class is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
