Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals have attained MAGNET® recognition for nursing excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for a third time. Jefferson Methodist Hospital also received this designation for the first time.
Jefferson was first awarded MAGNET status by the ANCC in 2009. Currently, only 475 U.S. health care organizations out of over 6,300 U.S. hospitals (and 29 in Pennsylvania) have achieved MAGNET recognition.
Highly regarded as the "gold standard" of nursing excellence, MAGNET designation assures consumers and patients that they can expect to receive a superior level of care.
