Transurethral Resection of the Prostate

If you are experiencing severe lower urinary tract symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), including difficulty or frequent urination or an urgent need to urinate, your physician may recommend a procedure known as transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP).

The highly experienced urologists at Jefferson's Department of Urology can perform this procedure which is less invasive than open surgery and you can expect quicker recovery times. Men with severe bladder damage caused by BPH can often find relief with this procedure as well.
