InterStim

If you suffer from a neurogenic bladder or overactive bladder and have not had success with medical treatments, sacral nerve stimulation (InterStim®) may help you find relief.

Jefferson urologists are expert at providing this therapy which is an implanted neurostimulation system. The device sends mild electrical pulses to the sacral nerve (this nerve is located near the tailbone and impacts bladder control muscles). When this nerve is stimulated, it may relieve your symptoms. The treatment is reversible.
