Chemical Peels

If you would like to improve and smooth the texture of the skin on your face or remove facial blemishes, wrinkles or uneven skin pigmentation, chemical peels may be a noninvasive solution for you.

The expert physicians at the Herbert Kean Center for Facial Aesthetics can carefully and effectively utilize this technique to help you achieve your best results. There are a variety of peels available, and we can ensure you receive the correct procedure for your specific skin type and problem.

Glycolic Peels

Glycolic peel is an alphahydroxy acid (AHA) known for its highly effective chemical exfoliation and antiaging benefits. An ingredient extract from sugar cane.

We recommend a five-treatment program of glytone glycolic acid peels from 30 percent and up to 70 percent performed every four to six weeks (according to skin color and skin conditions).

Salicylic Peels

Salicylic peel is a betahydroxy acid (BHA) known for its highly effective chemical exfoliation and oily, acne and blemished prone skin. BHA naturally occurs in the bark of willow tree and also has lipophilic compound, which removes intercellular lipids (sebum/oil).

We recommend a five-treatment program of glytone salicylic acid peels at 20 percent performed every two to four weeks. These peels can be combined with a program of IPL acne light treatments for optimal results achieving reductions in bacteria, sebum, blackheads, whiteheads, pore size and discoloration caused by blemishes.

Lactic Peels

Lactic peel is also known as milk acid and added to this special peel is a medley of berry extracts to strengthen and brighten the complexion. Also, hydrating ingredients make this an ideal treatment for dry, dehydrated, sun-damaged, aging, acne, dull and rosacea skin conditions.

We recommend a five-treatment program of glo therapeutic lactic acid peels at 15 percent performed every seven to 14 days.
