Bravo pH Probe

To evaluate reflux symptoms, a Bravo™ pH probe test can be performed to record the pH or acid content within your esophagus for 48 hours. The test consists of a miniature capsule that is temporarily attached to the wall of your esophagus and transmits data wirelessly to a receiver.

Physicians of the Jefferson Voice and Swallowing Center in Philadelphia may examine your stomach and esophagus prior to undergoing the Bravo pH probe test. If it is deemed appropriate to consider the Bravo pH probe, our physicians can help facilitate care through Jefferson's Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, who can then place the probe.
