International Patients and Interpreter Services
For Non-English Speaking Patients
It is essential that you are able to completely understand every part of your care and treatments. If you do not understand or cannot speak English, interpreter services can be provided.
Assistive devices for deaf and hard-of-hearing patients, including a telecommunications device for the deaf (TDD or TTY), are also available. For assistance, please call the Office of Patient and Family Experience at 215-955-7777. After 5 p.m. or on weekends, please call the hospital operator at 215-955-6000.
Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals are a member of Philadelphia International Medicine (PIM), a healthcare organization that brings the services of six Philadelphia-area hospitals to the international community. PIM helps patients and professionals utilize the wide spectrum of healthcare resources.
International patients seeking high-quality, cost-effective medical care use PIM to provide them with the opportunity to link their home physicians with the advanced medical treatment they require. Throughout the treatment process, patients have access to an array of physicians, surgeons, programs and specialty centers across PIM's network of hospitals.
PIM makes patients’ treatment and travel easier by first helping them choose the best hospital facility and physician team to address their individual needs, then by helping them with scheduling, transfer of records, and other administrative needs.
To schedule an appointment through Philadelphia International Medicine (PIM), patients can call 1-215-575-3724 or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
