Jefferson Reactivates Heart Transplant Program; Welcomes Patients for Evaluations

PHILADELPHIA — Jefferson Health is welcoming patients for heart transplant evaluations after recently reactivating its program with the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS). The program is led by surgeon Howard Todd Massey, MD, as Surgical Director of Cardiac Transplant and cardiologist Andrew Boyle, MD, as Medical Director of Advanced Heart Failure. Drs. Massey and Boyle are joined by Jefferson’s experienced team of transplant surgeons, cardiologists, nurses and staff in growing the heart transplant program throughout the enterprise and region.

Morris, MD, Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Jefferson Health and the Anthony E. Narducci Professor of Surgery, Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. “We are happy to be able to offer this life-saving operation to our patients once again.”
