Jordan M. Winter, MD, Joins Department of Surgery at Jefferson
Jordan M. Winter, MD, recently joined the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Department of Surgery and was named assistant professor of Surgery at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Winter specializes in surgical oncology.
Dr. Winter’s postgraduate training began at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore with a residency in General Surgery and a research fellowship in the division of Oncology. He performed a surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
A graduate of Princeton University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Dr. Winter earned his medical degree from the Weill Medical College of Cornell University in 2001.
Board-certified in surgery, Dr. Winter’s surgical research has been published extensively in academic journals including the Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery and the Journal of the American College of Surgeons. He has received multiple honors for his academic excellence and research.
Dr. Winter is a member of several professional societies including the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American College of Surgery.
