Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

If you or someone you care about exhibits the symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), the medical team of Jefferson's Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior can provide a multifaceted approach to developing a personalized treatment plan that may include a combination of psychotherapy and medication. Our staff focuses special attention on the consultation and treatment of the most common psychiatric problems of anxiety, depression, insomnia, substance abuse, eating disorders and sleep disorders.

If the condition is diagnosed in your child, our Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Services provide services for children, adolescents, their families and caretakers. Comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, parent counseling and family therapy services are offered. A variety of clinical problems are treated including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), mood disorders, anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder), pervasive developmental disorders and disruptive behavior disorders.
