Tests & Treatments

  • Craniotomy
Craniotomy involves removing a bone flap, a section of the skull, to access the brain.

  • Gamma Knife
Our physicians are able to use the Gamma Knife system to precisely direct radiation to the problem area while sparing healthy tissue.

  • Gene Therapy
Gene therapy, still in the early research stages, is showing some promise in the treatment of certain types of brain tumors.

  • Linear Accelerator
Linear accelerator (LINAC) machines have been proven to be a safe, effective treatment option for patients with inoperable brain tumors in dangerous locations, such as the optic nerve and brain stem.

  • Neuroendoscopy
This procedure allows the surgeon to move a probe within the ventricular cavity to the region containing the tumor and then to perform microsurgery, which is carefully targeted surgery that is relatively fast and presents minimal risk to the patient.

  • Stereotactic Radiosurgery & Radiotherapy
If you or someone you care about has been diagnosed with a brain tumor, spinal tumor, arteriovenous malformation (AVM) or other neurological condition, you can take comfort in knowing that we can provide stereotactic radiosurgery and radiotherapy treatment options.
