  • Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery: An otolaryngologist evaluates your medical history, performs an examination and diagnoses your condition. If cancer is found, you will receive a personalized treatment plan, which may include surgical and nonsurgical options. Our team approach to care may involve medical or radiation oncologists and the expertise of other surgeons at Jefferson.

  • Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery: An oral and maxillofacial surgeon is a dentist who specializes in surgery of the mouth, face or jaw. If you're diagnosed with a tumor of this region, surgery may be required for removal of the tumor.

  • Radiation Oncology: A radiation oncologist uses radiation therapy in the treatment of cancer, working closely with medical oncologists and surgeons. X-rays are reviewed during your visit, and a treatment plan is discussed.

  • Medical Oncology: A medical oncologist treats cancer with chemotherapy or other medications, working closely with radiation oncologists and surgeons.
