Tests & Treatments

  • Carotid Endarterectomy
Our surgeons perform carotid endarterectomy to open blockages and remove plaque from the carotid arteries to treat and prevent stroke.

  • Cerebral Angioplasty & Stenting
If you are diagnosed with a blood clot to the brain, which could lead to a stroke, you may require this procedure.

  • Craniotomy
Craniotomy involves removing a bone flap, a section of the skull, to access the brain.

  • Endovascular Coiling
One treatment for AVMs is endovascular coiling where the surgeon guides a catheter though the arterial network until the tip of the catheter reaches the site of the AVM.

  • Gamma Knife
Our physicians are able to use the Gamma Knife system to precisely direct radiation to the problem area while sparing healthy tissue.

  • Linear Accelerator
Linear accelerator (LINAC) machines have been proven to be a safe, effective treatment option for patients with inoperable brain tumors in dangerous locations, such as the optic nerve and brain stem.

  • Microsurgery
Today, through microsurgery, our surgeons are able to repair the smallest of blood vessels, transfer tissue from one part of the body to another and reattach severed parts.

  • Pipeline Embolization Device
This device is ideal for treating very large intracranial aneurysms, because it seals off the aneurysms from the arterial blood flow, reducing their outward push on the vessel walls while preventing a life-threatening rupture.

  • Stereotactic Radiosurgery & Radiotherapy
If you or someone you care about has been diagnosed with a brain tumor, spinal tumor, arteriovenous malformation (AVM) or other neurological condition, you can take comfort in knowing that we can provide stereotactic radiosurgery and radiotherapy treatment options.

  • Wingspan Stent
This device, called the Wingspan™ Stent System, is specifically designed to open clogged arteries.

  • tPA Treatments for Stroke
Intravenous (IV) or intra-arterial (IA) tPA (tissue Plasminogen Activator) or clot busters offer a 30 to 50 percent better chance of cure from stroke disability.
